This is my first entry here, just thought I should say hi! I posted a drawing earlier today, and I think by doing that, I rekindled a somewhat diminished passion for drawing.

Often hiding my drawings for other people than my closest friends has been the "safe", but maybe boring way of being creative. Now, by showing sketches, drawings and other stuff here on deviantART, I put myself in a position where I am unshielded for other peoples judgement. Be it positive comments, constructive criticism or just plain "Dude, you've got no skills...", I hope to learn from the response I get and to hone my creativity.

That aside, I want to say that I mainly consider drawing to be a fun and rewarding leisure time activity. I took an art-class once, mainly focusing on still-life drawing. Other than that, I've learned stuff by reading "How to draw"-tutorials.

And that's it... for now at least Oh, and I just want to thank my girlfriend who encouraged me to join here, which is something I've considered to do for some time, but hadn't dared until now.
